My day & unexpected buys.

Hey guys!

Sorry I haven't written a post for awhile, I've just not been able to find the time. But finally I have some time to spare :D

Today Simeon, Siiena and I went to Monmouth show with my mum, sister & brother. I must admit it was a great day and Siiena had so much fun!

There were lots of animals and by far Siienas favourite was the horses!

There was the cutest little pussycat there, her name is Siiena and she's just the cutest thing I have ever seen ;)

There was even an elephant...
Okay, not a real elephant but it was still cute ;)

This is Siiena and her Auntie Tilly :)

This little beauty elephant cost a whopping £730!
It was cute, but not that cute! Wow!

There was a massive area of bees. But the only problem was, they could all get out and were pretty much all flying around your head!
I had to get away from there before I got stung by one of those babies!
Siiena was quite happy to just stay and talk to them but I couldn't allow it!
Call me overprotected, but why would you even have that there anyway?!

Anyway walking down abit we found an advantage to these bees!
A little tent where you could make your own bee from Pom poms, googley eyes and even glitter.
Siiena & Tilly sat happily making their bees :)

As we were walking around, the big makeup stand caught my eye, I was straight there!

Everything was so cheap!

I got this maybelline air foam foundation for £4.

& this Rimmel appocolips for £2.50
BARGAIN!

I could of got so much more but I had to stop myself before I went abit OTT :P

I will do a review on these products once I have tried them.

Siiena even got a few bits of makeup in a lucky dip, which of course she loved and it was all over her face as soon as we got home! Love her!

Siiena also had this little welsh lady made with her name on it. We watched the man make it with a machine and different chisels, it was so clever!

It is so nice to have something with Siienas name on because nothing has her name on unless we have it personalised.

Today has been a great and successful day but now we are all super tired!

Keep watching for my 2 product reviews coming soon :)

Hope you have had a lovely day too and I would love to hear all about it :)

Children's activity - Bubble Snake

Hey guys!

We all love seeing our children have fun, right?
Well I've got something SUPER cheap and fun.

Siiena had a great time with her bubble snake and so did I!

What you will need:

A bottle
A sock
Washing up liquid
Water

Instructions:

Cut off the end of the bottle, then slide the sock over the end of the bottle. You could stick some tape around the sock to keep it in place.
In a bowl put some water and washing up liquid. Mix well.
Put the end of the sock into the water and then blow through the bottle.
BUBBLE SNAKE! :D

We had a competition to see who could make the longest bubble snake, Siiena won of course! ;)

I would love to know if you try the bubble snake :)

Keep an eye out for more cheap fun activities coming your way!

Product Review - Maybelline Baby Lips.

Hey Guys!

After seeing all this hype about 'Maybelline Baby Lips' i decided to try it myself.

Claims-

♥ Protects and moisturises for a full 8 hours
After 1 week lips are visibly renewed, virtually reborn

I purchased 'Pink Punch'

Simply because I love pink.

Firstly, what really caught my eye was the packaging. Like i just mentioned i love pink so this
would without a doubt draw a pink lover right in! Its also cute and who doesn't like a bit of
cuteness?

When i first applied it i thought Amazing! my lips felt very moisturised and also had a tint of colour.
After about 2 hours of wearing it, it wasn't so amazing. My lips felt slightly stiff and very dry. although the colour was still there a bit, the claim of it keeping your lips moisturised for 8 hours is untrue!

It smells gorgeous!
Tastes good too!

I have not yet been using Baby Lips for a week, so cannot comment whether it visibly renews your lips. I will do another post in a weeks time to let you all know :)

However, overall i do like this product and will purchase the other lip balms and for only £2.99 you cant really go wrong!

I would recommend you to try it out. You could always apply a very moisturised lip balm and then apply Baby Lips on top for a bit of colour.

What is your opinion on Maybelline Baby Lips? Please leave a comment and let me know :)

5 Cheap but FUN activities for children.

Lets face it, kids get bored so easy!
so I decided i need to sort out a few activities for Siiena as all i hear is 'im bored' which i totally cannot blame her as today was a boring day for me too!

Here are 5 activities that kids will love!

Chalk Spray

You will need:

1 tsp. washable paint
1 cup of hot water
1/2 cup of cornstarch
1 squirt of washing up liquid
Spray bottle

1. Add cornstarch to one cup of hot water whisking to mix so that there are no clumps.
2. Add one teaspoon of washable tempura paint and a quirt of dishwashing liquid. Mix well.
3. Pour it into your squirt bottles and shake well. Watch your kids enjoy making designs and pictures on your driveway. After you let your spray sit a while it will separate. Shake it really well before you use it each time.

White Crayon & Water Paints.

This is a great way to tell eachother your feelings but in a fun way.
Write a little note to your child in white crayon and let them discover it by painting over it with water paints.
I love this idea!

Moon Dough.

What you will need:

Shaving Foam
&
Cornstarch
Food colouring (optional)

I hear you saying.. 'Is that all you need?'
Yes that is all you need! Amazing right?!

Add any amount of Cornstarch to a bowl and then put the same amount of shaving foam on top (you can add more of either to form a mould able dough)
Squish it all together using your fingers.
Add optional food colouring to add abit of colour.

Simple!

Homemade Bath Crayons.

What you will need:

glycerine soap
food colouring
ice cube tray

Melt glycerine soap in the microwave, add a few drops of food colouring. Pour into an ice cube tray and put in the freezer for about an hour.

Easy. Simple. Fun.

Glittery Play dough.

What you will need:

1 cup plain flour
1/2 cup salt
2 tbsp cream of tartar
2 tbsp vegetable oil
glitter

Put all of the ingredients into a large saucepan, stir over a medium heat until the dough forms into a ball.
Allow to cool and the knead until smooth.

Store in an airtight container.

I hope your childrens (and you ofcourse) have so much fun!

Please let me know if you try it, i would love to know how much you enjoyed it :)

The little things..

Hey guys!

Just a quick one :)

Siiena found this little ladybird in the garden Sunday and has loved it ever since!
She is fascinated by how small and bright this little creature is.
She put him in a little box which we put holes in the top and he sleeps next to her bed.
We will be letting him go soon but Siiena is enjoying calling him her 'pet' for now ;)

Isn't it great how the little things can put such a big smile on your face?

What's made you smile lately? I would love to know :)

Yankee Love ❤

Hey guys!

I am so excited to write this post, im not sad, honest! ;)

I have always loved candles, but when i came across Yankee Candles, Wow! I will never light any other candle again.
The variety of fragrance to choose from is outstanding and the company constantly come up with new fragrances.

As i am writing this now i sit here with the air filled with 'white chocolate mint' it smells so fresh and could guarantee that if you had a cold/blocked nose this candle would clear your airways perfect.
Random thing to say i know, but i can feel it bring a tingling sensation to my nose and it feels so fresh! This is the first time i have lit 'white chocolate mint' and i am impressed, very impressed!

My favourite Yankee Candle at the moment is 'Vineyard'
OMG! The scent is so grapey and fun!
The throw is amazing - super strong but not too strong to cause a headache.
This is the one candle that has had the most compliments when people visit.
Ahh i could just EAT it, it smells so good!

'Vineyard'

Before i smelt 'Vineyard' my favourite Yankee Candle was 'Fruit Fusion'
I still LOVE this candle but it has become second best. It doesn't stop it from being absolutely amazing though!
It is a delicious combination of citrus (orange and lime) and strawberry. It would be ideal for summer months, i suppose its abit of a 'summerlicious' scent.
You can see how loved this candle is, theres not much left *sobs*

'Fruit Fushion'

'Sicilian Lemon' is one of my newest Yankee Candles. I have only used it once but that is all you need to describe the amazing scent of this light, zingy fruit candle.
Some lemon scents can be too sweet and remind you of dish washing soap (not good!)
This is completely opposite, the delicate scent fills the room with a light fresh scent.
The scent is so delicate that it will only fill a room and not an entire home.
This could be a problem for some but for me it is perfect as i use it in the bathroom to relax the light when im in the bath.

I have not yet used this candle so cannot give my view on it being lit but from the smell in the jar it is like a bright lime with a warm vanilla sweetness.
I can see this candle being smooth and refreshing.

'Vanilla Lime'

'Red Velvet' takes pride of place on my bedside cabinet.
It has a great throw! You can smell the icing, aswell as the cake blending nicely in the air.
The scent is heavenly when lying in bed relaxing.

'Red Velvet'

'Black Berry' is another of my newest candles that i have not lit yet.
All i can say is it smells like an absolutely delicious sweetness of rich, ripe black cherries.
I don't think this will be a candle to relax as the scent seems really strong, however i just know this candle will smell gorgeous.
